CrossFit Viral has been a part of our family’s life for quite some time now.  One of our favorite aspects has been the CrossFit Kids program that they run.  Both our boys have been involved for over 6 years now and they continue to love showing up every week to work with the great coaches, do a bit of activity, and play with and meet new friends!
 
The CrossFit Kids program at Viral has taught them proper movement.  Not just for exercise moves, but basic things like proper squat technique, running form, and power positions.  These have all improved their performance in other sports, even though none of what they do at CrossFit is sports specific: throwing a baseball, shooting / dribbling a basketball, or kicking a soccer ball. 
 
As they have aged up in the class, the coaches introduced proper weightlifting forms as well.  They never push weight to a point where they struggle, but the coaches do show them that they are powerful people, and being “strong” is cool!  They love it!   They are confident, excited, and just positive after a workout.  
 
If you asked my boys their favorite part, they would probably say the fun workouts, but also bring up the friends they get to workout with. They have their own non-school friends that are about their age and love to do some of the same stuff they do! The kids community at CrossFit Viral is just as good as the adult community! The coaches teach that respect and communication are key to not just being a good person, but being a HEALTHY person. These kids are always cheering each other on and rooting for everyone to do all the work properly!
